helda with the problem by the brooch.

We have been doing things like mystery stories and we did this one called helda so we looked further into it and we made this 2 minute long clip about this story. I had a group with Me, Karli, Amber, Lachie, Levi, Vincent and Declan.
This was in 1902-1903

1. Did the film communicate the script?
yes i think our play did do this.
2. Did it communicate the rising emotion being portrayed?
yes i think so.
3. What could you shoot differently?
practice filming and to not look at the camera
and also a little background of music.
4. how would you make your film more understandable?
maybe a little bit longer so the audience
can get some more facts about this story.
5. What would give your film more emotional impact?
try not to laugh at some funny parts and more
acting otherwise I think it was fine

The painted hoe

This is the painted hoe story that we read in class, our Teacher gave us some
questions about the story. and these are my answers below.

Question 1. Describe the different types of waka in your own words.

  1. Waka hourua - is a large kind of waka.
  2. Waka tete - that were used for fishing and to carry people’s good’s and a lot of people.
  3. Waka tiwai - they only carry a couple of people.
  4. Waka taua - can carry over 200 people on the waka.

Question 2. Why do you think Hoe were “highly valued?”
Image result for the painted hoe

I think hoa were highly valued
because some can carry a lot of people, and a lot of food
And Because Maori could use the hoa to travel at great speed and
because of their weight and shape. Also Because they represent things
from the natural environment.
